The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is creating a new plan for infrastructure related to sport and recreation in South Australia.

The plan will identify the infrastructure needed to support sports participation from the grass roots level through to our elite athletes. It will also identify infrastructure opportunities for those members of our community that want to be active through recreational pursuits such as walking and cycling. These may include recreational facilities such as trails and parks, community infrastructure like swimming pools, courts and playing fields through to bigger assets such as the Adelaide SuperDrome, State Hockey Centre and the SA Athletics Stadium, to major venues including Adelaide Oval and Coopers Stadium.

A key component of developing the plan will be wide ranging community engagement. The first stage of this is a survey that will be available to all South Australians to complete. This will provide the opportunity for the Government to listen to the community about their priorities and ideas on future facility provision which will inform the plan and also the next stages of engagement with key stakeholders.

Colmar Brunton, an Australian market and social research company, is undertaking the survey for ORSR and any answers you provide will be reported at an overall level and no personal data will be collected.

The survey closes on COB 7 May 2019.
