The leading international tourism experiences on Eyre Peninsula were recently showcased in New Zealand as part of the South Australian Roadshow.

RDAWEP joined other leading South Australian tourism regions and businesses on a week-long roadshow through the North and South Islands of New Zealand.

The roadshow saw tourism operators and regional representatives from throughout South Australia undertake 13 trade training and consumer shows in a variety of cities and regional centres including Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Napier, Palmerston North and Christchurch.

“The direct flights from Auckland to Adelaide make South Australia very accessible and we had strong interest in the Eyre Peninsula’s seafood and wildlife experiences.  Interestingly, this year there was also an increase in visitors wanting to hire RV’s and tour the Eyre Peninsula” said Mr Brad Riddle, Tourism and Economic Development Manager, RDAWEP.

RDAWEP will continue to work with the SATC and industry partners to grow visitor numbers from New Zealand.  As part of the promotion, the region has secured a number of New Zealand’s top selling agents for a visit to Eyre Peninsula later in 2017.
