Taste of Streaky Bay – Long Table Lunch on the Bay
April 28, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm| $129
Streaky Bay Tourist Promotions has partnered with the National Wine Centre of Australia – winner of multiple ‘Best Functions Venue’ awards – to create a unique dining experience with a magnificent view of some of the world’s most beautiful coastline.
The inaugural ‘A Taste of Streaky Bay- Long Table Lunch on the Bay’ is perfect for those heading to the region around Anzac Day and will surely have ‘foodies’ salivating all the way to the magnificent Eyre Peninsula seaside town.
Whilst ‘Streaky’ is most famous for its delectable ocean fare including abalone, whiting, blue swimmer crabs, oysters and prawns to name a few, one cannot overlook the region’s incredible lamb, pork and honey, nor the extensive barley and wheat crops one will see dotted across the local landscape – all of which will feature in the fabulous four course menu.
This delectable ocean and paddock to plate dining experience will be placed in the exceptionally capable hands of the National Wine Centre’s award winning Head Chef Steven Clark. A great meal deserves fabulously matched wines and once again, the National Wine Centre will be bought to the fore with Sommelier James Boden selecting magnificent wines to accompany each course (he’ll even showcase a local medal winning beer!).
‘A Taste of Streaky Bay’ has been a popular event for many Streaky Bay locals, however this step-change to a ‘Long Table Lunch on the Bay’ is a sophisticated way to showcase the range and variety of the quality produce available within the Streaky Bay district. This welcomed change is also necessary to align the event with the very success and renowned ‘Tasting Australia’ – Australia’s premier eating drinking program.
Every ticket purchased goes into the draw to win a beautiful single cultured pearl on a sterling silver necklace valued at $179.
Tickets are limited so don’t miss out on this inaugural event proudly presented by Streaky Bay Tourist Promotions and the National Wine Centre of Australia.
