Tourism Industry Council of South Australia (TiCSA), City of Port Lincoln, TAFE SA,  Career Employment Group (CEG) and Regional Development Australia Whyalla & Eyre Peninsula (RDAWEP) have collaborated with the Department of Innovation and Skills, are promoting 20 tourism traineeships to businesses in Port Lincoln and Eyre Peninsula in a pilot program, with the potential for it to be rolled out around South Australia.

The program content has been specifically designed to meet the needs of tourism businesses on the Eyre Peninsula, with an emphasis on skills that will be transferrable across different types of tourism businesses. The training will be a combination of subjects from the Certificate III in Tourism and selected workshops from TiCSA’s service excellence program.
