Developing an eyre of prosperity

RDAWEP is part of a national network of 52 regional development agencies which were established by the Federal Government in 2009.

RDAWEP has the benefit of being established through the amalgamation of Eyre Regional Development Board and Whyalla Economic Development Board. Both boards have a proven track record in gaining a strong reputation in supporting and driving regional development for their communities over the past two decades. This experience and local intelligence underpins RDAWEP.

We are an incorporated association operating as an independent autonomous body. The Board is uniquely placed to facilitate strategic economic and regional development initiatives across the entire region of the Eyre Peninsula.

RDAWEP is supported through a cooperative arrangement with the 11 local council members, state government and the federal government.

Whilst governments provide the core funding to the operations of the Board the organisation attracts and leverages funding for the delivery of high priority projects and service contracts that will provide long term benefits to the region.
