South Australia’s largest food and wine festival, Tasting Australia, is putting a primary focus on regional experiences in 2018.

The Festival, which is managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission, has teamed up with Alliance Airlines to deliver Tasting Australia Airlines packaging experiences to SA’s premium food and wine regions.

With the festival launching from Coffin Bay earlier this month the ex Adelaide packages to Coffin Bay sold out within days.

“Our regions are where our true food and wine experiences form, where the story begins for the majority of our produce. It’s great to see Tasting Australia packaging these regional experiences and providing guests with the opportunity to get back to the source. It’s evident the demand is there,” said Mr Brad Riddle, Tourism & Economic Development Manager, RDAWEP.

Now the opportunity for our local community to join the Tasting Australia Airlines group at the Coffin Bay Yacht Club has opened for an unforgettable lunch with a familiar view.

The abundant meal prepared by Tasting Australia ambassador Duncan Welgemoed (Africola) and Morgan McGlone (Belles Hot Chicken) will present flavours of the Eyre Peninsula in audacious and exciting ways.

“Whilst we have some wonderful local chefs, it’s always great to see the calibre of chefs the region is able to attract for events such as this. It provides a great opportunity for our local community and delivers a fantastic event for us to build on in the future,” said Mr Riddle.

This is the first in region Tasting Australia managed event for Eyre Peninsula where guests can look forward to a taste of Tasting Australia on our doorstep.
