This year, the Tasting Australia festival expanded its program, putting a focus on regional experiences.

The festival teamed up with Alliance Airlines to deliver Tasting Australia Airlines – packaging experiences to SA’s premium food and wine regions, including the Eyre Peninsula. The ex-Adelaide packages to Coffin Bay sold out within days.

The Coffin Bay Yacht Club Party on April 14 was the first Tasting Australia managed event for the region. Over 140 guests, travelling from as far as Brisbane, attended the Coffin Bay Yacht Club Party on 14 April – the first Tasting Australia managed event for the region.

Tasting Australia ambassadors Duncan Welgemoed (Africola) and Morgan McGlone (Belles Hot Chicken) prepared Eyre Peninsula produce, including oysters, ocean jacket, prawns, sand crab and mussels. Boston Bay Smallgoods Company free range pork also featured as a tasting plate option.

Tourism and economic development manager, Brad Riddle, said “the festival delivered a fantastic event to build on in the future.”
