Works to implement the short term solution to allow recommencement of bulk loader operations at the Port of Thevenard continue to progress smoothly.

Major support works comprising eight new piles and four new column supports have been successfully installed at the jetty.

The works are now focussed on demolition and steelwork installation. Demolition of four areas of the jetty has commenced. Steelwork is being installed to support the bulk conveyor.

Despite the recent inclement weather, the project is still on schedule with ship loading operations estimated to recommence in the first week of October.

Flinders Ports’ Engineering team and project partners are continuing to develop designs for a long term jetty/bulk loader solution.

We will continue to keep updates coming as the project evolves.
