Short Courses on offer at TAFE SA
- Child Safe Environments
Anyone working with or providing services for children in SA is a mandated notifier. This course provides information pertaining to Section 11 of the Children’s Protection Act 1993 and the associated obligations as a mandated notifier.
This course is suitable for anyone who would like to learn about the signs of possible child abuse and neglect and to find out what could be done to support children and families.
Whyalla: 20th June, 4th August, 31st October
Ceduna: 13th September
Port Lincoln: 1st November
Wudinna: 15th November.
- Provide First Aid & Provide CPR
Provide First Aid is a comprehensive first aid course suitable for everyday emergency situations. This qualification meets the requirement, set out in the Code of Practice, for a Senior First Aider. Our students are trained by current Paramedics and Registered Nurses who continue to work in their industries. This gives our students the advantage of learning from health professionals who have current experience in dealing with emergency situations.

Licensing units for the trades
This training is for those who are seeking a license from Consumer and Business Services (CBS) under any of the following:
- Plumbers, Gas Fitters, and Electricians Act (1995)
- Security and Investigation Agents Act (1995)
- Building Work Contractors Act (1995)
On successful completion the participant will have the necessary qualifications required to apply for the Contractor’s Licence.
