Stepping into Leadership Program

Ag Excellence Alliance and Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA) invite you to participate in an exciting program.
This program will enable women in agriculture and agribusiness across South Australia to participate in professional development building personal leadership skills. Ongoing support will also be provided through individual coaching, mentoring and webinars.
The program commences in September 2017.

Short Courses on offer at TAFE SA

  • Computers for Beginners
    In this course learn the basic safety measures using anti-virus software, to digital filing and storage, to internet browsing.
    Cost: $20.00 this fee is only available to residents who reside in Regional Communities.
    Ceduna – 1 day – Wednesday 25 October
  • Design and Create Professional Organisational Documents
    The Microsoft suite has been around since the dawn of computers. As the ability of our personal computing devices has advanced (from mobile to laptop to desktop), so has the capabilities of the Microsoft suite. Don’t get left back in 2003 with simple, boring documents and presentations.
    Cost: $40.00 this fee is only available to residents who reside in Regional Communities.
    Ceduna – 3 days – Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 September
  • Creating a Business Website
    There are thousands of reasons you might need a website. Maybe you have dreams of creating the new Facebook, or you own a small business and don’t want to invest in something you could just as easily do yourself. For aspirations of grandeur or simple goals, this course is perfectly designed to ensure the foundation knowledge for website development and maintenance.
    Cost: $80.00 this fee is only available to residents who reside in Regional Communities.

  • Microsoft Excel for Beginners
    Get the skills and knowledge necessary to create and manage workbooks. Covers creating a new workbook, adding data, editing data and printing and is an ideal introduction.
    Cost: $20.00 subsidised fee only available to eligible students.
    Courses available in Ceduna Tuesday 24 October, Port Lincoln Tuesday 26 September and Wudinna Wednesday 6 September
  • Microsoft Outlook for Beginners
    Do you use Microsoft Outlook for home or business? Fulfil your New (financial) Year organisational aspirations with this Microsoft Outlook for Beginners accredited course!
    Cost: $20.00 this fee is only available to residents who reside in Regional Communities.
    Courses available in Port Lincoln Wednesday 27 September and Wudinna Thursday 7 September
  • Microsoft Word for Beginners
    This one-day introductory course covers the basics of Microsoft Word from basic navigation and creating a document through to tabs, tables and formatting.
    Cost: $20.00 subsidised fee only available to eligible students.
    Courses available in Ceduna Monday 23 October, Port Lincoln Monday 25 September and Wudinna Tuesday 5 September
  • Using Personal Devices
    Enrol in this course today to gain the knowledge required to use a range of digital devices such as a digital camera, video camera, or even your mobile phone camera!
    Cost: $20.00 this fee is only available to residents who reside in Regional Communities.

  • Use Advanced Features of Excel, Word & Access
    The 3-day comprehensive course covers using the advanced features of MS Word, Excel and Access.

* HSR Level 1  –  23-27 October (Monday to Friday) $895 per participant
* HSR Level 2 – 11-13 September (Monday to Wednesday) $550 per participant
* HSR Level 3 – 14-15 September (Thursday and Friday) $395 per participant

* HSR Level 1 – 25-29 September (Monday to Friday) $895 per participant

Are you a newly elected Health and Safety Representative requiring Level 1 training or a current Health and Safety Representative needing to upgrade your skills to HSR Level 2 or 3 training?  The HSR courses will ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out Work, Health and Safety (WHS) duties.

Licensing units for the trades

This training is for those who are seeking a license from Consumer and Business Services (CBS) under any of the following:

  • Plumbers, Gas Fitters, and Electricians Act (1995)
  • Security and Investigation Agents Act (1995)
  • Building Work Contractors Act (1995)

On successful completion, the participant will have the necessary qualifications required to apply for their Contractor’s Licence.
