NDIS Workshops – Career & Employment Opportunities for Individuals – Tumby Bay

Workshops for individuals and providers of services will be held around Eyre Peninsula in 2018 to provide information and support to people who need information regarding careers and employment opportunities supporting clients living with a disability.

Since 1 January 2018, the NDIS has been available on Eyre Peninsula to clients aged from 0 – 65 years.

The range of careers in this sector includes personal care, social support, transport, home care services as well as other careers in administration, management and health professions.

If you would like to find out about opportunities for employment in this sector on Eyre Peninsula, please come along to one of the following workshops so that you can find out whether there is an opportunity for you.

The workshops will cover topics such as –

  • What is the NDIS?
  • The range of careers within this sector
  • Your suitability for a Career in this sector
  • Skill requirements for different jobs
  • Values based selection of candidates
  • Mandatory checks
  • Local Employment opportunities

From 1pm onwards, participants can meet with the Career Practitioner to discuss their individual career plans and receive advice about what to include on resumes so job applications can be targeted to this sector.
