Eyre Peninsula’s small and medium enterprises are acknowledged across the world as having a positive and significant impact on South Australia’s Gross Domestic Product, job creation and exports.

The Government of Mauritius is forward looking to an economically vibrant and innovative country and the SME sector has been identified as the future engine of economic growth. Towards this goal the Mauritian Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA), which operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Business, Enterprise and Cooperatives (Business and Enterprise division) is organising an International SME Innovation & Technology Fair from 12 to 14 May 2017 at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre (SVICC), Mauritius.

High Commissioner Susan Coles (HC Coles) recognises Eyre Peninsula’s aquaculture as a world leader and was recently in Coffin Bay and Boston Point to meet with business leaders. Organised by the Australian Southern Bluefin Tuna Association and Regional Development Australia Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula, HC Coles met with Pristine Oyster Farm, Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Clean Seas, Yumbah Aqualculture and the tuna industry.
