The South Australian Tourism Awards celebrate the State’s finest tourism businesses, recognising those who have demonstrated outstanding achievements and success throughout the year.
The Awards program allows entrants to not only showcase their success but be rewarded with improved business planning, an internal analysis process and greater development opportunities for growth and recognition, with most category winners going on to represent South Australia at a national level.
Plus SATIC and Principal Partner – the South Australian Tourism Commission are once again committed to providing increased benefits and entrant support, including the upcoming How to Enter Workshop
An exciting new category is open to entrants in 2018: Excellence in Accessible Tourism
This category is open to South Australian tourism businesses or attractions delivering tourism products or services that are welcoming for people of all abilities. Entrants must demonstrate how they have developed a tourism experience to become more accessible.

We find it a beneficial way to critically reflect on our performance, and use it to aid decisions to improve our business. The awards process is very thorough and it’s very rewarding to see the improvements the business has made year to year. The judge’s feedback is comprehensive and of course the industry recognition is quite humbling. Even without winning or achieving a medal it is a very beneficial process for any tourism business to undertake. It forces you to spend the time to think about your business, something we rarely find enough time to do. HOW TO ENTER
The SA Tourism Awards is an online submission and site visit based program for all tourism businesses in SA.
- $190 per nomination for SATIC members (non-refundable, GST inclusive)
- $290 per nomination for non-members (non-refundable, GST inclusive)
Nominations and submission are completed online, with significant system updates from last year to ensure greater functionality.
Once your nomination is received, you will be given access to the exclusive online nominee’s kit – providing key tools to assist you in preparing your best submission possible!
Please note: the qualifying period for the Awards is 1 July 2017 – 30 June 2018
